Treadmill Belts

Treadmill belts are readily available for almost all makes and models of treadmills. You just have to know where to look. The first place to start is your user manual. Check to make sure you have the exact make and model handy during your search. Once you have this information, you can do a quick google search for the make and model of treadmill belt. In most cases, replacement belts will show up in a google products search. Other places to check are amazon.com and ebay.com.

You can also contact the manufacturer to determine if they sell parts direct to customers, or who their authorized service people are. Authorized service people should also have access to replacement parts, althought they may be more expensive than going directly to the manufacturer.

Treadmill Belts Maintenance:

Just like the rest of your electronic equipment with moving parts, your treadmill will require regular maintance. As long as you keep up to date with the regular maintenance as outlined in your treadmills userguide, your treadmill should provide you with years of smooth service. In most cases this is simply a matter of lubricating it with an appropriate treadmill belt lubricant, adjusting it so that the belt runs down the center of the track, and making sure the tension is appropriate.

Treadmill Belts Adjustments:

Depending on the make and model of your treadmill, it will have a different way of adjusting the treadmill. In most cases, both the tension of the treadmill belt and the path it takes can be adjusted. If your treadmill belt is too tight it will wear pre-maturely. If it is too loose it can slip, causing a very choppy and unsmooth workout.
